Journeymen Upgrade Training

There are many ways to get involved with your Union. It is time for change and you can make a difference by getting involved with the labor movement. Here are just a few projects you can participate in:

There are many classes that our local has to offer. We have not been taking advantage of this great opportunity. Workers with better skills do get better wages. There is a strong relationship between the level of human capital and the possibility of having a good career and a decent salary. In particular, the return to investment for one additional year of school or training. (Potter 2002, Industrial of Labor relations)

We want to encourage all of you to participate in upgrading your training. We invest a lot of our time and money to stay abreast of the latest training. It will be a waste if we don’t share it with our locals’ workforce. Training is one way where we can improve our local as a whole.

We need to stay competitive and sharp. One way is to participate and be active in our industry’s needs. Please call Jack Gavett at 858-505-9414 for more information.

Forklift and OSHA classes are ongoing.
